Dr. Andrea Myrie-Nurse

Dr. Andrea Myrie-Nurse is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and has extensive experience providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults. She hold a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University and completed her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at Adler University in Chicago, Illinois.

Andrea’s clinical experience has included working with Whitby Mental Health (now Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Services), Toronto East General Hospital’s Brief Therapy Unit (now Michael Garron Hospital), and the Etobicoke Centre for Children and Families. Andrea also spent more than 20 years with the Peel District School Board, providing psychological services to students, families, and schools. Later she served as Manager of the Psychology Department, where she provided leadership and oversight to a team of more than 70 staff.

In addition to her clinical work, she served as Director of Clinical Training and core faculty at Adler School of Professional Psychology, where she supported the education and professional development of future psychologists.

Dr. Andrea Myrie-Nurse currently maintains a private practice in Streetsville, Mississauga, where she work with children, adolescents, and adults. Andrea’s approach is grounded in creating a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment in which individuals and families feel heard, understood, and empowered. Andrea believe that understanding a person’s unique strengths, needs, and experiences is essential to helping them reach their potential.
