Madison Van Es

MSW, RSW

Madison Van Es is a Clinical Associate at Kindercare Wellness. She has a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Madison has experience working with children, youth, and adults in a variety of community based organizations, with focus on children and adult mental health. Madison is also highly passionate about therapeutic recreation and neurodivergence, and previously served as the Assistant Director for a summer therapeutic treatment program for neurodivergent children and youth.

Madison works with children, youth, and parents, and uses a strength-based framework informed by an individual’s family and community context. Presenting concerns Madison works with includes emotion regulation, behaviour management, parenting skills, and positive relational skills. Madison has specialized experience in supporting children and youth with learning disabilities and co-occurring mental health challenges. Madison adopts an eclectic approach drawing from Emotion Focused Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is committed to anti-oppressive practice and providing services affirming of diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
