The Worry Tamers Group

Do you have a caring child who has big worries?

Kindercare Psychology is offering a group designed to help children spot and tame their anxious thoughts and body responses. Our group modality and strength-based approach will help kids feel safe, seen, and feel good about themselves.

This group helps children spot, understand, and tame their anxious thoughts and physical responses. In a warm and inviting environment, through games, creative projects, and brief mind–body exercises, participants learn to conquer their fears and find their personal strength. We achieve this by:

  • Recognizing automatic thoughts and feelings and how we usually respond to them, including fight/flight/freeze responses
  • Challenging our unhelpful thinking patterns and choosing more balanced, helpful, and happy thoughts
  • Practicing evidence-based self-regulation skills, including mind–body work
With each step, we craft our own brave plans, stepping boldly into the world with confidence, resilience, and a newfound sense of hope!
When? The group runs for six consecutive weeks on Tuesdays, starting July 21 and ending on August 25, both inclusive.
What time? Every Tuesday from 5:10 PM to 6:40 PM.
Where? 304-491 Eglinton Avenue W., Toronto, Ontario. M5N 1A8
